One of my summer goals was to create a Teachers Pay Teachers store and I finally have gotten started! I made my first freebie that you can pick up today. I have a new found respect for every TPT teacher that is out there. It took a lot of work and time and it's a short file. I can't image how long it takes to create those 40+ page files!
I love incorporating crafts and writing activities! I'm obsessed with craftivities of any sort. I also like to make cards and one day while on Pinterest, I stumbled upon a card with a tooth wearing a crown. All I could think was...that would be cute in my classroom! Now how to make it work as an activity?? That's when I realized I was reviewing how to write multi-step directions and what better than to have my kids write about something they know how to do really well?? Brush their teeth! Well after teaching a short lesson on how to properly brush our teeth, I learned that my kids didn't really know how to do it. So this lesson turned out to be extremely useful and I used their writing as an assessment for our health lesson on top of it! They loved making their tooth and were so exciting to have them displayed. Lots of learning and lots of fun!
Here is what you can make with this file:
The file comes with the masters for the writing portion and the tooth. The kids were in charge of creating the face and the crown. My camera was left in my classroom and we cannot go into our rooms right now, otherwise I would show you all the cute teeth my students created.
You can click HERE for the file.
I hope you enjoy it!
Card making is also one of my hobbies. I always seem to run out of thank you cards when my students give me something. The summer is the perfect time to stay up late and make stuff for my kids!
Here are the thank you cards I made for them. Keeping them in my desk comes in real handy throughout the year!
