Rockin' Resources Party- Part 2

The amazing Kelly from The Teacher Idea Factory is holding her second Rockin' Resources Party all about the things we can't live without.  I shared some of my faves last time in THIS post if you're interested, but now I have some new goodies to share!

1. Digital Camera
I use my little "Tiffany" for everything! I take pictures of the kids all the time and at the end of the quarter or month I make a quick slide show on my Mac and show it to the kids. Kind of like a virtual timeline.  They LOVE it!  I also use it to document my lessons to remind me of what I did for future reference. The colors Canon offers are so pretty too!

2. Erin Condren Life Planner
So I heard that these planners were beautiful, but I didn't realize how beautiful and useful they were till I got mine!  I recently started my master's and I knew I had to get organized.  I did some research and these are supposed to be the best planners.  So far so true!  I'll be doing a video next week about them if you want to take a look inside:)

3. MacBook Pro
This thing is amazing!  I recently started making things on TPT and  I am not very tech savvy but this laptop has made it so easy to create my documents.  There are many things to love, but recently the handiest things to me are: creating PDF's (The option to save as a PDF is easily accessible) and creating screen shots of any size (clicking and dragging the cursor over what I want to capture). No more need to save pictures to my computer just to re-upload.

4. Flip Camera
My BFF teaches next door to me and she got one of these Flips.  I didn't think I would use it but after seeing her in action I decided to get one.  Well worth the investment!  It shoots clear video and you can just plug it into your computer through the USB port.  When my students were putting on a play, I recorded them so that they could see themselves act.  We all had a good time watching that!  I've heard of teachers also recording their students when they are reading to show them how fluently they are reading.  There are tons of ways to use it in the classroom.

5. My Cricut
I use my Cricut all the time!  I've made tons of posters, classroom decor items, behavior clip chart, students gifts etc...It's also nice knowing that you will never run out of the right size letters for your bulletin boards!

Now head over to Teacher Idea Factory and link up your must haves!

  2. This summer I have been using my camera so much.. mostly due to the fact that I have a blog that is in need of pictures. I cannot wait to use my camera more next year to document what we're doing!

  4. I've never thought to use a Flip camera! I love that...I may need to save up and get one! :) I love my Silhouette Cameo! (It's a die cutter but it connects to your computer!) It really is nice to make your own size letters.

  10. I wholeheartedly agree with your picks! I LOVE my Erin Condren planner and got it at a great deal from Plum District! I also would die without my Macbook Pro and have recently been using the Cricut (my babysitter gave me her old one since she got the bigger one and hasn't used this one in years--SCORE)! Yesterday I created some great stuff and cut vinyl letters for the first time. AWESOME.
