Totally Terrific Teacher Tools Linky Party

I am linking up with Mrs. Castro's linky all about the tools that you must have at home to create resources for our classroom!

1. Cricut
I use my baby ALL the time!  If you are a teacher, you've got to get some type of die cutting system at home.  I had a blue one and it wasn't communicating with my Gypsy (handheld design tool) and I got this pink one.

2. Printers
I have three printers at home.  A Brother laser printer that prints black and white, a Brother laser color printer, and a Kodak color printer that broke within a few months after I got it.  It has a scanner which has come in handy, so I kept it for that.

My black and white printer has been a life saver.  When I make something at home, or purchase something from TPT, it's nice to go to my printer and print it without worrying about the ink. The ink lasts for years with lots of printing every day.  The Brother color printer is another story.  It jams all the time and it has five expensive ink cartridges to replace.  It's awesome having color printing at home, but I would have liked a less stressful machine to work with. The Kodak was something I would not recommend getting.  I love that it has a scanner that I was able to salvage when the printing part of it no longer worked.  The cartridges weren't too expensive but it was ALWAYS running out of ink and that got expensive real quick.

3. MacBook
I think you will hear ever Apple owner rave about their laptops.  There are some downsides to having one, but the positives outweigh all the negatives.  It's made it really easy to create my TPT resources.  I'm sure PC's can do much of what this computer can do, but this is the first computer I've owned that was so user friendly for someone who is not a techy.  I can retouch images, create my own screenshots, and makes PDFs with the click of a mouse.

4. Crafty Tools
One of my hobbies is scrapbooking, card making specifically, and I have tons of tools for crafting at home.  All these tools have helped me tremendously to create decor for my room.
Here are some of my favorite tools:

Top: Big Shot.  This is a die cutter for your house.  It's just like the die cutters we have at school, but smaller. You can get dies for them at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joann's and any other crafting store.
Bottom Left: ATG glue runner. Always comes in handy!  You can glue down anything pretty much and this glue holds strong!
Bottom Right: Scrapbooking paper.  Color makes all the difference and having all these colors available is very convenient when creating decorations.

Now it's your turn to show off your goodies at home by linking up with Mrs. Castro!

  1. WOW! You are prepared for any creating emergency at home! I never heard of a glue gunner before - I'm going to have to investigate.

    2. I love my glue runner. Especially when I want to laminate something and don't want to mess with a bunch of lumps from Elmer's glue. Now that you have a Cameo, you have to get this runner to glue your crafts:)
