Back to School

This has been a super exciting week.  First of all we went back to school and all my kids came back!  This is a first.  I only lost one little angel but I knew she was going to be leaving a while back.  Then one of our local news channels came by today and one of my cuties got interviewed!  It was adorable!  To top it off, I found out a few of my grants were funded through Donors Choose.  Including two Teachers Pay Teachers grants {I'll be posting about how to do this soon}.

Over all, a fun and good way to come back to school.

This week we started right away with a good writing activity.  During the break I saw that Teri of A Cupcake for the Teacher had used one of her Christmas files (that I already owned) as a New Year's craftivity.  I love it when I can use a resource in more than one way!  So I got right to work and we created some resolutions for our class.  Here is a picture of what we did.

1. Top left: In 2013 I want to get smarter so I can go to third grade and I want to be nicer.
2. Top center: In 2013 I want to do better on tests and help my mom clean the house.
3. Top right: I want to be better at social studies and math and read a lot.

This was such a fun and cute activity!  We are enjoying our time back and we thankfully got into our routine right away!

I am linking up to Teaching Maddeness for Flashback Friday.  Now it's your turn to link up your activities!
