Water Conservation Foldable

My class has been on a mission to take care of the world ever since Earth Day.  I wanted to take advantage of that and talk to my kids about water conservation.  This activity is from Lita Lita and is included in her Science Fold and Learn Super Bundle. It's a great deal by the way!
I loved how this was pretty quick to put together and it had great info in it for the kids to share with their parents.

Earth Day and End of the Year Activity

Earth Day snuck up on me this year!  I luckily purchased Lita Lita's foldable bundle and was able to find a quick activity I could use to teach about the three R's!   My kids loved making it, they learned from it, and it made a cute display too!

Here are some pictures:

I was thinking about having the kids put these into their interactive notebooks to save, but the kids all wanted to take them home to show to their parents.  So home they will go :)

I'm here counting down the last days of school.  We are down to 18 days I believe.  This year has flown by so quickly.

I'm starting to gather some stuff to do for the end of the year and the thing I'm most excited about is making our Owl-Ways Remember project!
We made these last year and they were a great way to recap the year!  The kids write about what they will Owl-Ways remember about this year.

I'm putting this one on sale for the next few days if you are interested.

Easter Decorating Ideas

I'm back to link up with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday.

1. We only have 24 days left of school!  My kids are definitely feeling it too!

2. My Donors Choose grant was funded and I received some TpT resources I needed for my transition to first grade. If only Donors Choose and TpT were able to work together, it would make the whole process a whole lot easier.  I tried by emailing TpT, but was told that I needed to email Paul.  Not sure how to go about that…  To me that's like telling me to call Bill Gates on his cell phone.  Maybe Paul is easier to get ahold of?  Maybe someone out there knows?

3. My house got decorated for Easter a while back and I forgot to share the pictures.

I started with my chalkboard.
This chalkboard changes the whole environment in my house.  I went with more of a spring design so it could stay up longer.  The inspiration for this one came from Lilly and Val.

4. Next, I created this centerpiece.
I found the directions at Craft-o-Maniac.  It was so easy to do and it only required a few materials that you can easily find at any store.  The flowers are from Trader Joe's.  Around $1 per bundle of flowers!

5. Last, my husband and I filled up our table with Easter grass and Eggs.
This table is from Ikea.  I love putting stuff inside there.  It's like a little surprise when you walk over to it.  During Christmas, we put ornaments and Christmas cards inside.

That's it for me!  I hope you have a Hoppy Easter and make sure to link up with Doodle Bugs!
