I recently picked up a new book that I now consider a must have for all teachers! I seriously wish I would have gotten a copy back when I was in college. The strategies are that good! This is the book I ordered:
The reading strategies book is so amazing that I wanted to take a plunge into the writing one. Well, it DOES NOT disappoint! I am especially loving how it’s organized. As you can see below, it lists the skills that you are looking for and then you can just go to that section of the book.
I think most of us are used to those books that you need to read from cover to cover to get anything out of them. This is not that kind of book. You can read any part that you need at any time. Do you have students that use the word and too much? Just open up to page 330 and voila! Just open it up and teach! It even includes anchor chart ideas for you. I couldn’t ask for anything better! My only regret is not having picked it up earlier.
Want to see more in-depth pictures? I’m including a few below so you can take a closer look.
I will be keeping this in my classroom and am considering spiral binding it for easy reading. Want a copy of this book? Grab one by clicking on the button below or any of the images above.
